As You Go

I used to spend so much time wondering where God was leading me. I often would try to beat my head against an unbreakable wall, saying prayers like, "God, what do you want me to do." Now, this is not necessarily a bad prayer. In fact, I encourage you to pray it.

Sometimes, though, I think that we overemphasize these types of prayers and completely miss what God is doing wherever we're at. As I look back over my life, I have seen how God leads me from one year to the next and gives me a more holistic view of the big picture for my life and how I can influence people for Him. In other words, He has continually revealed what His plan is for me in a step-by-step fashion. It seems that this is true as you analyze different people in the Bible. God often reveals His plan for your life...over time.

Remember today that we have been called to be witnesses as we travel through life. Therefore, wherever you are you can be a witness for Jesus. So, be patient while allowing God to guide you to His plan for you, and be open wherever you go to be used by Him.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8
